Can someone advise the name of a reliable, safe, reasonable, taxi service from La Americas Airport to Santo Domingo? Also, does anyone know the bus schedule from Santo Domingo to Punta Cana and Bavaro area? Thanks, Joyce

The buses leave from Parque enriquillo

... to Higuey. They leave whenn they are full and are sporadic. No real schedule Best leave around 10:00 AM. Earlier the better.

From the Airport you may try any cream colored taxi to Sto. Dgo., they are pretty save, just stay away from any wild taxi, which looks like a wreck (unless you know the person)!

There is a comfortable scheduled bus service leaving twice a day from Maximo Gomez Ave., close to the Haitien Embassy.
Price is RD$125.00
