Has anyone been to Carnaval in La Vega? I'm thinking about going on Sunday February 20th and just wanted some suggestions... Thanks!

Feb 27i, the last day, will be better, but if the 20th is when you can, then you definitely should go. Probably the best carnival in the country.

Try to get there about 11am. The parade should be great, however the last day is better. Stand to the back or you may get your azz beat. Part of carnival. Have fun.

Unfortunately I'll be there Feb 18-22... Everyone keeps telling me the 27th is the best day... oh well.
