Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me with this. I am trying to get access to iplayer and have signed up with ukproxy to do so.
I have had some luck with it and have been able to watch programmes online where i work but not at home. Maybe the connection is just too slow?

What i would really like to be able to do is download though for some strange reason access through ukproxy only allows you to stream but not download.

Any advice or good experiences to share?

Thanks

you might try:

"IAPS Security Services, L.L.C. (Store Services)" <store@intl-alliance.com>

I use their United States server all the time with fairly good success, 1.5 mbps (supposedly download on Codetel). Usually watch netflix or hulu in the states. not sure about download ability through.

i use "get_iplayer" to download bbc radio programmes. it used to be supported by auntie, but isn't any more. still works though.
i think you can download telly stuff too, but have had no need for it.

i use other ways to download uk tv progs.

ps do you know if you can actually download programmes through iplayer?

Yes you can, but success depends on your connection speed. It can take several hours and then crash. Downloaded progs have expiry dates like all bbc iplayer progs.
