Hi, I will be cashing in a cd soon at the Central Bank, and I was wondering if anyone knows what the process is. Such as, after I arrive at the Central Bank will everything go smoothly and not take a lot of time, or will there be problems and will it take a long time to complete the process. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Crane

The last time we did that it went smoothly once we got in front of a rep at Central Bank. the problem is how many other people are doing the same thing as you? So its unpredictable. Plan to take some time and if you finish early, Yahoooo enjoy. Go early.

Last time I went there took me from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, that was when Papa Hipo's government.
We got a 36% interest CD for one year.

I cashed a CD last month. The process took three hours and for some reason it involved six or seven employees that had no idea what the previous person had done. At one point I spent half an hour at some b!tch's desk while she had a social chit chat with a friend over the phone while filing her fkn fingernails. At the end of the process I ended up with the same person I'd started with, much to her surprise. After much huffing and puffing, rolling of the eyes and, you got it, socializing with other office staff, the transaction was completed.

Bring every freakin document known to mankind and you may pull it off.

These folks couldn't organize a free fk in a whore house!

Good luck you poor bastard.

when handling large sums of money, more than 10K US, i always expect to be in the bank for a while, but the good part is that i don't have to deal with any fat ladies. i always ask if they're married, want a date, compliment their hair. i've often wondered why no fat ladies in the bank, as opposed to the US where i deal with sargeant major drinking a diet coke who has pictures of her kids or grandkids all over the desk...........

Actually the women dealing with my transaction were all moderately good looking and trim, except the one doing her nails. She on the other hand had a unibrow, bad teeth, and smelled like decomposing flesh.

The good old days, most of my transactions went something like this, but times have changed.....things are much easier for me today....:ermm: I don't know about "A Sargeant Major drinking a diet coke"....Good description though........It's all pretty much relative wherever you are, or go. And what's the problem with pictures of her kids or grandkids?....geeez.....

the problem is, i am president of the bank, this is not her "home away from home"... we spent 33 million dollars making the "bank=loanshark office" on architects and interior designers. her cute pictures with the "fur" frames are out of place. this is not her bank, never will be, if she needs a reminder of precious little mariacita, she can look at her cell phone or anyway spends more than a few of "my" minutes on the phone with relatives. i can somewhat forgive her, stuck in the same cage "cubicle" for life, but this is "MY" bank!!!! save the cute stuff for the dept of motor vehicles............the only pictures that should be around the desk should be of me "Joseph Stailn"................

Sorry you feel that way about bank tellers. Sounds like you have a few anger issues, but that's your business.

Have a great night!!

I gotta go eat some Pizza...

I guess some of us are luckier than others. All of my dealings with them have been very professionally handled, ONCE I got to the desk.

Bachata, I've got you beat by a country mile for highest interest rate.

I hope they start issuing CD's again. Mine is expiring soon.

You are lucky still have CD, I ran out of money and applying for bankruptcy!!!
