I recently lived with a family in the DR for six months and want to invite one of the children to spend a month with my family in the US (Virginia). Any suggestions??? Especially re: airline travel. I see that AA won't let a 10 year old fly unaccompanied, is that true of all airlines? I would arrange to meet him, likely in NJ, so he wouldn't have to change planes. He is mature for his age, attending eighth grade this year, but still a kid. Any ideas?/ THANKS, Susan

First of all is the child Dominican and does he already have a passport and travel visa for the US. If not FORGET it there is no way he will be allowed to visit. If so then It will be up to the airline policy and you will need certified letters to take the child.

If the child's papers are in order, Jetblue flies kids unaccompanied for a fee. There's a lot of paperwork!
