That's not going to be so easy. Prices have huge swings, plus some are private, others via insurance etc. Plus the quality is all over the place.

e.g. A crown is not just a crown. It's the initial check, x-rays, root canal, prep work, crown cost and type, follow up etc.

But, saying all that, I think it's a great idea and if the thread get's enough traction then I will make it a sticky.

Let's keep it on point, any worthless chit chat will be deleted, along with questions on who do I use, whats the cost etc. This thread will be just for those posts that adhere to the criteria established by the OP.

Looking at what he wrote and the price, I would say one (1).

Yes that is correct 1.molar implant upper back jaw.

I think that if we have questions (i.e wants to know more info on the dentist) we can send a private message to the person- please state if you are not open to PM. or you can start your own thread inquiring help/advice.

we are trying to keep this as A quick reference guide and talking about the dentist will overcrowd the thread.

Thank you for cooperating.

I paid 1000 pesos for a massive filling in Nagua two years ago.
Took about an hour.
Skilled, survived till now. Alternative was a crown - quoted 3000 pesos.

One thing is for sure, I wouldn't go anywhere near a dentist that offered a crown for US$80. The consumable cost is higher than that!

- Consult and follow up
- X-Ray
- Drugs
- Root Canal
- Lab work
- Crown
- etc....

From the high to the low. If you have no insurance and no money there is a dental college on Lincoln where you can volunteer yourself to be worked on for a small donation.

Last year, this very modern clinic in Santiago (it may be the same Robert is mentioning) quoted me US$800 for a molar crown (without root canal work which had already been done). Needless to say, I went to a place in Sosua to have it done for RD$12,000.
