Can anyone please help me. Wea re trying to get some information on moveing to DR I would like to know if me and my wife get our residncy what is the process to move our belongings and tools and vehicles and boat. is there taxes on personel things. is there a site that tells you what you are allowed to bring to DR

Yes,
Residency is required to bring personal belongings - e.g. in a container.
Lawyers and agents can help with residency.
I do not know of a site that lists items you may not bring.
Guns, some drugs, cars more than 5 years old and not owned for 2 years will be on the list.

You can move here and bring your things - without residencia you will pay taxes on it.

Once you have residencia there is a window in which you can bring your things in without paying those taxes. There are restrictions - for example you can't bring in 6 brand new TV sets etc.

If you reach out to Guzman Ariza - they advertise here and support DR1, go to their website where they have a lot of well written info in English to get you started!
