Couldnt find a topic for introductions. Im American and my wife is from Santo Domingo. We have family both here in FLA and in Santo Domingo. We visit 2-4 times a year. This past year we bought a house down there that we are in the process of renovating. Hopefully within the next 5-7 years we can move there as my wife wants to go back and start a small business. Me all i want to do is ship my boat down there and go fishing all the time but have yet to find good intel on fishing and marinas around Santo Domingo. I know Sousua and Puerto Plata have charters but I would prefer to fish with the locals. It seems when we go the time passes by so quick working on projects that I never get to look for information. I have found this web site a wealth of knowledge especially on bringing items and vehicles into the country. I have lots more reading to do.
