New airport in San Francisco

Is the country really ready for another major airport?
i read there are plans in motion for a new airport in
San Francisco, What do you guys think about that?

They are saying that this airport is gonna launch the tourism in that part of the country, What the hell, the country doesn't need to open up entirely to tourism, does it? Can't they just leave some areas in the country with some form of privacy from tourists? I know tourism is good but it can also be harmful to the community too.
