I want to find out as an american citizen
what i must do to start a company in dr
an what i must do if that company is involved in the export of a dr product.
I would be going back and forth to the states every 3 weeks staying a few days and returning to dr.
I would need an apartment and live in a safe lovly ocean community near the best port to ship from
any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can buy a ready-made company form one of several incorporators or have them incorporate a new company

the corporate law has changed, so there is one more step involved - depositing your initial capital in a bank after your shareholder/member meeting and before applying for Registro Mercantil - but otherwise all other steps (Nombre Comercial, Asamblea, Notario, all paperwork and related steps) still hold. Also, you would be incorporating a LLC (SRL) instead of a Corporation (SA).

The initial deposit for an SRL in a bank is no more...law 31-11 which modified law 479-08 erased paragraph I from article 92which required the bank deposit of the initial company capital.
