Wait!!!!! I'm getting a conflicting view.......

United States citizens are required to present a valid U.S. passport when traveling to the Dominican Republic, but the passport may be substituted with a Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative-allowed document, which is approved by the Department of Homeland Security. One such document is a state-issued enhanced driver's license from the Department of Motor Vehicles, issued when an applicant presents his Social Security card, proofs of U.S. citizenship, state residency and other identity, such as school or employment ID, along with his existing driver's license.

Is this really correct?????

I was always under the impression that you had to have a passport.........

Help anyone????

Now I'm curious???????
