Has anybody been deep sea fishing lately in sosua? Just trying to see if anybodys got any action! I will be there soon enough
Somebody should open an all inclusive type fishing lodge It would be a gold mine just like cabo and other great fishing spots around the world. The north coast is so "untouched" it would have anglers frothing at the mouth. Defintely would boost tourism
suprised someone hasnt jumped on that or it isnt in the works:chinese::chinese:

I believe poaching/illegal fishing has harmed the stocks over the years.

A nice 45' outfitted boat would do well, taking parties out for overnight fishing trips on the offshore banks

Really i never seen any big boats off shore using gill nets. Its usually just locals out there. Also the way they fish and their gear is out dated I think with
the correct equipment the potential is skys the limit.

DR fishing boats get caught poaching in Bahamas waters on a regular basis, groundfish and lobster.
I think Puerto Plata may be the base for larger fishing vessels
