Hi, my first post!

Where could we find either organic or gluten-free breads?

Or do we have to bring them back from home?

Thank you.

Which part of the country? In the capital there are several places: Organica in Piantini, and there's a new place opposite the La Cadena supermarket at the end of Avenida Sarasota in Mirador Sur that sells gluten free products. Try also Ananda in Gazcue, and the health food sections in the large supermarkets like Nacional.

if you are in some small city you'll have trouble buying anything like that. la sirena in POP has health food shelves but i cannot remember seeing bread there. may be.
as far as organic: if you want the quality of ingredients just make bread yourself. we do. miesposo brought breadmaker from the states (i have not seen them here but then did not really look). we buy flour from bakeries. seeds from supermarket, along with yeast. we make anything from pizza and focaccio to lovely dark breads with semillas.
