Hello,

I recently got a crown put on a tooth, and I think I may now need a root canal. I had it done in the states but I need a good dentist here, any recommendation from personal experience. I am looking for a really good, trustworthy dentist in Santo Domingo who speaks English, since what I will be explaining is a little technical.

Yes I have insurance, but I am not sure what it will cover

Many dentists in Santo Domingo do not offer insurance, at least the better ones.

But...

If you have ARS Humano with the Salud Bucal coverage, just walk into anyone of their clinics.
Or call them first and find out if they have anyone that speaks English.

I have Humano but I am not sure if it covers dental work. I am willing to go without insurance, but I would like to find a dentist in Santo Domingo that I can trust that will do all the work in an ethical manner, I paid cash for the crown in the states so I'm sure it would not be much more than that. I loved your thread, the place looks very nice.

I have just had two root canals, among other dental work, in Santiago with Dr Oscar Morel and am very pleased with his expertise, professionalism, and he's a 'human' who really cares about what he does and people. His number is 809 583 2288. Location is across the street from the Metro bus station and up the block from the Caribe Tours bus station.

I asked around some other dentists.
He's a crown/implant specialist and I believe speaks English.

It will say on your factura (invoice) if you have dental coverage.

I would love to have you come to Santiago. You spend RD$600 on the Metro, another RD$300 on taxis to and from and you visit my dentist. Why?
First she's very good as some people have said here.
Second: I have had a root canal without any anesthetic (sp?) Yeah, I know, but I seem to have a high pain threshhold(sp?) But it was not that bad.
Third: I have seen her do two root canals where the patient got up smiling!

Four: the price is very fair.

Let me know if you are up for some good work...

Note: Robert's people are top notch, and I have others, I just like this woman...(Yeah, she's cute but she has 20 years on the job!
