I've had a search around and can't find info on any direct transport from Santo Domingo to Jarabacoa, is this because it doesn't exist? Nothing direct?
So I presume Santo Domingo to La Vega, La Vega to Jarabacoa is the only way using public transport?

Caribe Tours goes to Jarabacoa 3-4 times a day. It does stop in La Vega for about 10 minutes. 280 pesos last time we took it.

So it stops or we need to change buses, no biggy, but nice to know. Wouldn't be the first time I've stayed on a bus here while I watched the bus I should have been on drive off!

There is no bus transfer, only a stop to let people on/off (ten minutes)

I 've did the trip, going both ways, about a dozen times and never switched buses. If you go Vegano you take the guagua to La Vega then the bus from La Vega to Santo Domingo. Caribe tours is one bus.
