Is the bagged ice safe for using for Drinks? I mean like the ice from Heilo Nacional not the little bags that you get from the little shops.

100% safe!
My abuela taught me, make sure ice always has a hollow center, has something to do with the purification/filtering process???

Actualy the hollow center is from the ice machine. Depends on the brand.

Both types are safe. Unless you have the stomach of a 1 year old.

the safety depends on the situation where it is made...having come from the Hospitality trade in Europe one of our regular inspections was from Enviromental Health...checking for contaminants in our ice making machines..they would take samples of our ice away for testing, and yes the shape of the ice cube just depends on the machine that makes it..
