Information on SpearFishing

Hi could anyone tell me where i could get information about laws and regulation about spearfishing in the DR?

I am not totaly sure but I do not think there's a lot of restriction on this

Is their some kind of ministry that i could call , here in canada we have a ministry of fishing and hunting.

this may be wrong, but i was told that you can't hunt with scuba. free diving is good. i know this is true in virgin islands and puerto rico. i think it is a caribbean thing. free dive you can shoot but not with scuba.

no regulation on spear fishing, but that doesn't stop officials from stopping you if they need a handout; so always carry spare change to go spear fishing,.....ironic
