How much in USD $(converted from dr pesos) would you guestimate that a mini split ac unit cost per hour to run in Cabarete/Sosua?

well what about this....it uses about 2kwh per hour...does this help? It's the larger mini split if that helps

I came up with about 26 US cents per hour if a 9,000 BTU Sanyo mini split is running at full capacity.

(7.6 Amps X 120 Volts X 1h X 10.86 $RD/kWh) /(1000W/kW*38 RD/US$) = $.26 US

(2Kw X 1H X 10.86 $RD/kWh)/(38$RD/US$) = $0.57 US per hour

If you run it for a month that is .57*30*24= $410 US monthly if it runs at full capacity all the time.
I used the rate for a bill I just paid today. I think the rate goes up by 8% next month so I think it will be $0.62 US per hour.

ok. I was quoted twice that by our property manager. Ummmmmm
Just dont want to have to over pay. More towards .50 cents a hour.

Post 5 shows that it is more than .50 cents an hour for a 2Kw unit. The unit I calculated in post 4 was a little under 1 Kw.
