I have a friend that has just opened an express clinic in Plaza Central (Santo Domingo).

It's very modern, bilingual staff, great pricing and in an excellent location that is easy to get to, Plaza Central.

Xxpress Clinics - Medical & Dental - Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Ideal if you need a quick check up, not feeling right or need some lab work etc.

The owner is American Urologist who also happens to be the main kidney transplant specialist here in the DR.

It may be my poor Spanish but I didn't see the dental services..... just medical.

I hope he expands this to other areas..... looks like a good idea......

They are a general medical clinic, not a specialist clinic.
The concept is excellent and I know the owner is working on expanding into other locations.

see the quotation marks? i said "emergency" because it clearly is not real emergency clinic, right? nothing more than colds and headaches place, simple stuff. i have seen walk-in clinics before in london, i know what they are. i am sure it is expensive just by the location adn all this "state of the art" talk, that does not come cheap.
in any case - do they take insurance?

I understand the 'General Medical' part... and it is desperately needed....I think its a great idea.

Glad to hear about the expansion plans..... another much needed good idea.

Don't be so touchy/grouchy...... I'm onboard here....:cheeky:

Maybe you should have responded to my post before Dv8's...... I got it right for goodness sakes !!!

robert will respond to you as soon as he bans me for my criticism :) ;)

The problem is your criticism is based on zero knowledge and experience of the clinic.

They are trying to do something that does not exist in the DR and in turn raise the level of available medical care. You have to take your hat off to them for trying to make a difference and risking a chunk of $$$. Time will tell if it catches on.

I'm not touchy/grouchy, 10 years and close to the 1 million post mark has beaten that out of me :)

Awesome! I rely heavily on my local "Doc in a Box" here in the US more than my primary care physician. Hopefully he'll be so successful it will catch on and become a franchise! Actually think it might be more useful to the occasional traveler than the ex-pat who lives there, in any case hope he's successful. I'll add it to my list of "just in case" numbers.

Robert, they may be highest medical professionals but have super unprofessional website. A pop-up comes up in french saying that the website was created with a trial version of LM web creator, and to buy it or something like that.

You should tell them they can easily edit http://www.xxpressclinics.com/lmpres80.js and remove from there this part:
RES_TIMEOUT="Ce site Web ? ?t? r?alis? avec une version d'?valuation de LMSOFT Web Creator.\nPour d?couvrir ou acheter Web Creator allez ? www.lmsoft.com";

Now, I want me discount coupon for my next visit ;) ;)

Rubio that is sometimes the issue with professionals - they do not understand the other technical stuff and get caught up in something that is not suitable. Yup this site needs some work. BUT I like what they are doing. Hopefully Robert will get them on the right track...... lol
