Dont know. I know they have alot of the energy companies there pumping off Natural Gass wells and such using mobile trucks. Commercial Class A license and a HAzMat certificate will get you in the door.

My dad is a psychiatrist at the clinic in Minot. He like those rural locations. Too isolated for me. Before this he was with the USBIA(Buro Indian Affairs) in Anchorage, Alaska. THAT was a place I always wanted to go and see BUT, to do it my way. Drive out there from NY, 4500 miles one way, straight across the country. I almost had it BUT then gas went to like $2/gallon(the 1st time-summer 2000) and I was less enthused. Gas never came down, so I never went. Now its like $3.90. Hahaha! You drive 5 miles turn around and come back.

Do cousins count? However, they are from the "gringo" side of the family, and retired now. Live in Washburn, and the Missouri is at their back door!! but no flooding...

My cousin Master Sergeant UASF John Bratt was a crew chief on B-52s stationed at Minot AFB back in the Cold War days...the time of really tense relations...and 24 hours SAC presence in the air... Anybody ever see B-52s up close???

So, only by extension are there any Dominicans up that way...and I am betting there are...on the rigs or serving the worker population in the western part of ND...it is a boom economy with less than 4% jobless rate, no taxes to speak of and low cost of living. Housing is some areas is a b!tch..but otherwise seems to be a good, very quiet, place to live.

Winters are hell though. I've been inside a B52 (Fairchild AFB , Spokane Washington, 1981) Yes lots of rigs working the Baaken Field in both N.D. Saskatchewan, and Montana.

OK folks, back to "Domincans in North Dakota" please.... way off topic...

I dont think it is off topic. I think there maybe 3 Dominincans in the whole state. Anyway, in Minot, this is the scene:

Are their any Dominicans in North Dakota? wish to obtain some info

thanks:p
Here's one that I know of, she is a Fulbright scholar and has been attending our local university for the past 3-4 years working on a PHD degree. I'm pretty sure that she doesn't like our winters too much.
