Less working hours?

Yeah, Why don't we just stop working altogether?
We are living in a sub-industrialized country already and some wants to slow down on the working part of it.
The United States most work 3 shifts, tha's al day work. During your shift, you can expect to work at least 7hrs out of 8, if you're not getting overtime, which is paid extra.

In the DR we work at a pace -a couple of hours in the morning, go home for lunch and a siesta, that's two hours! and maybe go back for another couple of hours. Now that's a long long long break!

Quit that idea, in most other countries you get 1/2 hour break for lunch and two 15 minutes breaks, you never get to go home and sleep.

someone may think we can do better, work harder, earn more and advance some. If we work smarter.

5. Minister of Labor favors four-day work week
Labor Minister Milton Ray Guevara said yesterday he supports the
Dominican Free Zone Association?s proposal for a four-day work week.
Work days would be 11-hours long from Monday through Thursday. Adozona
says this would increase productivity.
The Minister says he favors the plan as long as labor unions andworkers approve.
Adozona has also requested that the Ministry consider establishing
lower wage categories for workers to be employed in free zone
industries in depressed areas.
The current free zone salary is RD$2,490 per month which is the second
highest among countries competing to manufacture products for the USmarket.

What is the reguary working day in the freezone? Normally it is 8 hours elsewhere! So working 5 days at 8 hours makes 40 alltogether! 4 days at 11 hours makes 44!!

Another dominican speciality? And the risk of accidents working on machines for eleven hours????

Strange -
