We may be moving to the DR for my husband to take a teaching position. He has a thyroid condition, and has to take levatharoxin. I am sure I misspelled that...LOL. But, if you take it, I am sure you know what I am talking about. Is this available in the DR? Thanks for responding.

Hi, it's Levothyroxine, most popular brand name is Synthroid, I've taken it for years but I bring it with me from NJ.

I'm sure dv8 will answer you when she sees your question.

ditto what alterego said. synthroid is available over the counter, prices depend on the strenght, about 18 pesos and up. also sold under the name SYNOX - much better because this one is available in more options (different quantity of an active substance). cheaper too.

You will have no problem, SYNOX brand is the closest to Synthroid. It duplicates the dosage concentrations of levothyorixine and even matches the color of the pills to Synthroids's color coding.
