The stereotypical hot Latina bad-ass that doesn't take any crap from anyone (a role usually occupied by Michelle Rodriguez), out to avenge her parent's death.

How original. :bored::bored::bored:

Yea well you know, superbad ass movies with feminine leads dont tend to do well anyway. My memory recalls only Angelina Jolie to have had repetitive success in this genre.

She is becoming the Halle Berry of this decade and building up a nice resume. This won't be her best role but it's nice to see her as the main star of a movie. She's already been in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Star Trek(as Uhura) and Avatar.

Well, there was Sigourney Weaver in the "Alien" movies, Linda Hamilton in the "Terminator" series, basically all of James Cameron's movies have a very strong woman in them.

Not in the same sense. Only in Angelica Jolie movies is she the center of attention. Terminator really had nothing to do with Linda Hamilton as it did Arnold Schwarzenegger. Even Sigourney Weaver had to share the attention with the creature with the double mouth. You could throw out Jane Fonda, or Jennifer Lopez, but their kick-ass appeal is limited.
