Hello Members

I have a new product i want to send to the US every week. The package will be 100 lbs every week. UPS is not an option since it is a low value product. Any ideas?

I sell several products through ebay and it works well. But how about 100 lbs packages with a low value? of about 100 US$

Thx

Michael

wow,
shipping is usually paid Per Pound,
so I guess your package will in case of shipping costs exceed the Value of the Package excessively.

interesting to see if somebody has a cheap solution for such

This has been discussed before and there was no reasonable option. Hopefully someday that will change.

Prohibitively Expensive

The other day I got quotes for a five-pound small parcel (8"x8"x4") to CA/USA.
CPS: 2,857.- (DHL) 3,262.- (UPS);
MBE: 2,738.-
all in pesos

As we all know to receive that shipment here would only cost about 900.- Pesos.

Anybody flying out to California? :cheeky:

How big is the item? Montero charges by the size of the box. It takes time to ship but perhaps if you started a regular shipment you'd be able to do it.

Business Mail?

dont know if it is possible (and you would have to set up a po box in florida) but have you ckd into business mail?
We do have shipping addresses in FL where we receive parcels with MBE and CPS.
Does Business Mail have offices in the DR or do they just cooperate with FEDEX, MBE and CPS?

Montero ships from the US to the DR only as far as I know. I have no idea about Awilda, but you could certainly call, email, or send smoke signals to them both to confirm this.

From my experience in logistics and with shipping to/from the DR and US, you will be hard pressed to move 100 pounds from the DR to the US for less than $200. The issues are minimum charges and US Customs.

Contact Antillean Marine for their LCL consolidation. Twice a week service with a four day transit time.
