Could somebody help to settle the following discussion?
As we all know, the DR is in the Atlantic Standard Time Zone (offset -4:00 Universal Time. However, somebody is saying to me that this applies just after 1974. That before that year the time zone used was Eastern Standard Time (offset -5:00 Universal Time)
Henceforth, 10:00 AM today would have been 9:00 AM in 1960 for example.
Also, I found in World Time Zone Maps on the Web that Haiti is in a different time zone (Eastern Standard Time) to the DR. Could somebody confirm if this is true?
