Hotels near PUJ

My flight arrives about 4.30pm at PUJ - I would've liked to get to the capital straight away but i'm thinking I should just wait until the next day.

Can anyone recommend a hotel that's reasonable and near PUJ. I've found a few all inclusive's for about ?45-?50 for that one night but don't know how far they are. Can I do better than that?

Yes... I thought so!

It's just that I'll probably spend quite a bit to get there and then to get a bus the next morning?
It's a shame because it's ?43 to stay at the El cortecito which is near the airport but obviously not an all inclusive :(

Can't have everything i suppose! ;)

You'll end up spending almost as much on the taxi to get to Cortecito. The only inexpensive option is to take a guagua to Ver?n and stay at one of the cheap hotels there, and take the Expreso B?varo to Santo Domingo from Plaza Genaro the next day.

Next year all this will be resolved with the opening of the 4-Points at Sheraton hotel in Punta Cana Village, within walking distance of the airport.
