What is the name of the insurance you can get that prevents you from going to jail in case of an accident while driving a rental car in the D.R. ?

The insurance has to include "casa de conductore" and you will be covered.

Hi - can someone suggest what insurance someone should have if they own a car in the DR?

Is this insurance or clause something that is mainstream and offered in all the larger rental companies ?

It is a clause on the insurance policy and most rental agencies should offer it.
