Electronic goods in POP

Hi guys,

I am due to arrive in POP this December. I was hoping to stopover in the states for a day to purchase a couple of electronic items such as Bose ipod Dock speaker system and a new laptop as they savings from Europe are significant. My question is the following, is it possible to purchase such goods in a good store in POP for the same prices as in the states?? Or is it like I fear, even more expensive for such items?

It's a lot more expensive here - about the same price as in the UK

& we often get refurbished/factory seconds sold here as new.

My advice is buy in the US
