Although I visit often and don't generally do touristy things, I had a friend visit me in Bavaro for the first time recently so we did some fun things.
First- parasailing. We used FreeBird Parasailing and had an awesome experience! The crew was incredibly competent & professional. They picked us up exactly on time at the agreed upon spot and gave us a great ride. I was pleasantly surprised because we did not call from a hotel. Their # is 809-. Owner's name is Jack.
Second- dinner at El Pilon the new restaurant in el Cortecito in the plaza by the German Deli and Lifestyles Resort. Its a new place and they try hard to please. Fish was great and filet mignon was perfect. Waitstaff was competent and the manager (can't remember his name) was attentive. I hope they make it because its tough to have a restaurant in that area. They had a DJ with too loud music out front but inside is pretty & quiet. Its not cheap but not overpriced. If you like Outside Inn you'll like this place.
