Does anyone know of a vet that can do a reliable travel certificate in the North coast besides Dr. Bob in Sosua? He is not coming back until October 17. If I can I want to get my dog on the plane this Saturday but I don't want someone who does not know what they are doing. Any recommendations? Thanks!

It's a very simple document.

Any vet can do it.

Maybe I am being overly cautious but I have heard horror stories from some expat about using a local vet and the form was not filled out correctly and it caused problems at the time of travel.

As with everything else in RD, just make sure you hand over the fee before you give them the certificate.

Everything flows smoothly from there.

BTW, there is an office for the fee paying at the cargo area in SDQ.
Not necessary to go to the terminal to pay.

For future reference, the Animal office at the terminal is at the arrivals level not departure.
So take the dog and car downstairs first - then go check in.
(American lets you check dogs in as people)

You're welcome

We used to drive from Philadelphia to Miami w/ our dog. Then fly AA to POP or SDQ.
The car sat in FLA for when mi esposa got 'island fever' and had to get off.

We don't fly dogs any more - too much trouble, as you're learning!!
