Any suggestions for best places in Santiago for Hyundai (Santa Fe) auto parts . Coming from POP.

Magna Motors. You might want to call first to see what they have. Their main inventory in in SD...

And their main inventory is not good. What in particular do you need? I have become an experienced Hyundai parts importer out of necessity. Even if Magna has the parts, they are often much cheaper to import yourself. They did not even have a starter solenoid for a car I purchased from them.

Also keep in mind that many Hyundai parts are available from KIA as well. The KIA dealer is on the way to Santo Domingo on the right side of the main highway as you leave Santiago.

Hopefully the parts situation will improve over time. Until then here are some links to parts suppliers that might be able to help Hyundai owners:

At $4-5 a pound, shipping parts from the US may cost more than buying the part here...IF you can find it...

Of the items that I have imported, almost none were available here and I did save considerably on those that were available. I am currently awaiting a new starter solenoid which is unobtanium here. It is coming along attached to a new starter.
