You'll probably need about 2300 blocks, 475 80lb bags of concrete and 16 20' pcs of #4 rebar.Hi there,
I am stuck trying to calculate the cost for a wall 6 to 7 feet high around a 400 m2 lot (20 meters by 20 meters).
I can't figure out how much concrete and iron bars would be needed.
Does anybody has an estimate?
Thanks a lot!

I guessed 8".Blocks: 6 or 8"?
No sand?
No gravel?

But it won't fall on one while leaning against it when it is 6" blocks, I guess ?
Well, the amount of cement plays a role...

Concrete for the footer and to fill in the holes with the rebar. Mortar for the rest. Cement is the binder in both.Errr, is concrete and cement not the same? Thought it is, getting confused now, too....
Yep. Stucco is best but Dominicans often add more sand to mortar and use that. The footer, got it, that explains the amount of bags, OK. But that would still be the naked wall, i.e. to cover it would be more mortar (?) needed? Jeez, that would cost me more than the lot was I'm afraid...
Was thinking in a cheaper way to get a wall, but not possible...
Why a wall?
A wall around a 20 x 20 m plot just makes a prison cell, IMHO. :cheeky:
