I know baseball season is over here in the US but are they still playing in the DR? If so are there any ball parks or softball fields near Punta Cana where i could watch a game or two? I'll be there the week of Thanksgiving so was looking for something different to do one afternoon.

Do any games go on in February?

Are there any local leagues in Veron or even Higuey that anyone knows about? I'd love to even see the game by older kids (11 -12 yr olds or teens) if I could find them.

I'm don't follow it much here in Canada, but I like to take in any local sporting events on the local level when away. You get a better feel for a place when you take part in the same activities the local residents do. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
