From today's Sosua News:

"Friday afternoon, in the conference room of the Water and Sewerage Company of Puerto Plata (CORAAPPLATA) a meeting took place for which building and construction companies were invited. The meeting was chaired by Luisa Almonte, an official of the Ministry of Planning, Economy and Development. She pointed out that it is necessary to connect Sos?a, Cangrejos and Montellano to a sewage system and that there should be constructed a wastewater treatment plant. With the construction of the sewage water treatment plant the government wants to tackle the pollution of rivers and coastal waters. The entire project is funded by the World Bank and is estimated to cost $ 27 million dollar. The present (Dominican and foreign) companies were invited to bring out an offer on the extensive project.

"A special by the World Bank appointed commission will decide on the basis of the tenders submitted to whom to forward the tender."

I wonder what is planned for Sosua, which already has a sewer system. Several years ago, everyone was required to connect to the system. Are there parts of Sosua not on the sewer? Doesn't Sosua already have a treatment plant?
