Caribe bus from POP to Las Terrenas

i am pretty sure caribe does not go to las terrenas. there is a guagua to samana leaving daily from the hospital (just a bit further down the street towards jose luis supermarket, in fact).

Caribe Tours does not go to Las Terrenas from POP. The guagua to Samana (which will leave you in Sanchez, you'll then have to take another guagua or a cab) is Transporte Papagayo. They leave from the Puerto Plata Hospital at 6:45 am. If you speak Spanish, you can called them up, 809-749-6415 (they don't speak English).

That is the morning bus. I believe there is also a bus that leaves Samana in the morning and returns to Samana in the afternoon. Like the morning bus, you would catch it in Sanchez and be dropped off in Sanchez.

The morning bus leaves, I believe, from near the hospital as you are going out of POP toward Sosua. You pay on the bus, there is no ticket office or terminal.

There is no Caribe tours or Metro.
Transportes Papagayo 809-749-6415 leaves Puerto Plata Hospital around 6:45am once a day for Samana. They stop in front of Janet's but will stop anywhere in Cabarete/Sosua if you call them. I was told they go through Cabarete at about 7:15am. To be safe, I would be in the sub stop at 7am. They stated it is a blue bus (not purple) but I wouldn't trust that what we may consider purple is shade of blue for Dominicans. The return trip leaves Samana around 1400. To go to LT you would get off at Sanchez and Taxi on.

I was just in Las Terrenas but rented a car from Sosua and drove.Next time taking Transporte Biade-809 387 4374,809 886 6304.This bus will leave from PP and will drop you off right at the beach in Las Terrenas.No taxi needed..
