    Default DishNetwork Question

I got a legal DishNetwork (HD) set up 2 dishes 3 LNB's etc, recently my satellite guy said he would adjust dish set up I will get better reception during rain - after he left everything is worse now. Many stations not coming in but weather has been bad up here on the North coast but it definitely worse than before.

Can someone throw some light on the situation, did they change some satellite positions requiring a change in dish location or something?

I don't trust my satellite guy to give me a straight answer, especially because he borrowed a little money from me now this requires him to come over and 'do' something so that he does not have to pay me back.

Most likely your dish is misaligned, LNB going bad, bad cabling, or multiswitch/diseqc going bad.

I don't know who your satellite guy is. I used to use Dolfi from Sosua, but I fell out with him after shoddy service, not turning up when he said he would and charging over inflated gringo prices.

I now use Francis (809 722 9812) who contracts for Delancer. Nice guy, knows his onions, fairly reliable and honest prices.

I had similar problems with Dolfi who couldn't aim a dish. Francis set mine up over a year ago and I still get great reception.

I have had Dolfi work on my villa and ranch property (both with dual LNBs) for a few years and have been very happy with him. He is Dominican, so don't set your watch by when he claims to arrive, but I always get stellar service and all my dishes seem to be aligned perfectly. Me? I trust him!

I agree with this. He may not be on time, but he always got the job done for me.

Use Dolfi as well and never a problem. However in the heavy rain we do lose some stations because of interference. This is normal. We would also lose signal in Colorado during heavy snows.. Did i say snow??????

Thanks for your tips and suggestions, I guess my guy is just making this stuff up about DN moving the satelite position?

Yes, I believe he is making up a story. I have aligned a dish myself, and it must be done precisely.
