Hi folks, I'm coming to DR for the first time in February and am hoping to find some mad keen Petanque players. Will I find any there? If so, I will bring my boules.

Thanks

You might have a better chance of finding some bocce players. Many of the AIs offer bocce.

Thanks, Belmont, for your reply. Sorry, don't know the term AI - can you tell me what that is?

I used to see a bunch petanque players everyday in Las Terrenas (your best bet). They sounded like they were from the south of France.

Bonne chance et bonne p?tanque :)

In Las Galeras at the beach I have seen a group playing. They told me that they often play against the Las Terrenas team.

Was going to say the same thing but Aida beat me to it :)
Las Terrenas must have some petanque fields and players as many living there or coming on holiday are from France.

They have a court on the beach in Las Galeras. I am sure they must have in LT too. Las Galeras also have many french residents.
