I think your best bet is Santiago. I have been going to a urologist for years but need to switch to doctors closer to home. I asked the doctor in Puerto Plata who is treating me for a different condition if there is anyone in Puerto Plata she could recommend to replace the urologist in SD. She said I should go to Santiago. I asked the gastroenterologist I now go to in Santiago and he recommended the urologist he goes to: Dr. Jose Lorenzo Lopez Pellerano, Clinica Coraminas, 809-580-1171, Ext 7335. I have not gone to him yet, but will be very soon, most likely this month. But he comes recommended by a highly regarded specialist in another specialty.

I know of a urologist at Coraminas, part of the clinic family, that has studied advanced prostate cancer techniques in France and speaks English. I'll look for his card and name...
