I have a GPS enabled iPad & iPod Touch and would like to test and review any GPS maps for the DR.

I'm waiting to see if Garmin will write an app for iPhone / iPad. I have a Garmin device in my car and I use this map Dominican Republic GPS Map - GPSTravelMaps.com

It's not too bad.

For my iPhone I've used App Store - MotionX GPS

You can specify how much detail you want to download for a specific area which is handy when your 3G isn't available. But it doesn't navigate for you or give you turn by turn instructions.

That app is built into the iPhone and very useful. If you have iCloud (free) you can log into any computer and track, send message, lock or remote wipe your Apple devices, iPod, iPhone, iPad, laptop etc.

That said...

I'm looking for GPS Nav apps only.

That's the only one I can find as well. The map doesn't look that great

It seems is at the app store for 19.99 with a nav,I searched"gosh app for Dominican republic" and that took me to the apple store

Don't hold your breath, Garmin's primary biz is hardware....i.e. as in your turn by turn GPS unit in you car, they thus keep their hardware and mapping proprietary. Apple is a direct competitor.
