    Default Satellite radio

Has anyone used a sirius satellite radio on the island? I had an XM radio but couldn't pick up a signal in Punta Cana. I heard that sirius uses different satellites and has worked successfully in Mexico and Cuba but nothing about Dominican. I know I can get it live online but I want to install it in my vehicle.

I've just ordered a sirius radio for my car. The consensus is that it does work here. I will let you know once I've installed it.

We have one, (sirius) that we use in our home and it came with a car kit. It works both places. When we use it in the car, sometimes it fades out for a minute or two, but it can do that in the house too, depending on the weather.
It has been a good purchase for us, as we listen to it everyday. We are located on the North Coast.

I'm told (here) that Sirius works but XM doesn't.

My XM doesn't work - I know that

The Shark Bar in Sosua used to have it. One of the reasons to go there was to get away from the bachata/reggaeton.
