have been loads of threads about the various courier services offered in dom rep.

business mail, eps, mail boxes, etc.

most ask about which ones are the best, cheapest, etc.
usually involves a laptop or such-like.

has anyone ever tried to bring small amounts of food with any of these companies.

amazon and others offer almost anything over the internet now.
one of many things you can find are christmas puds.....i am not really interested in making them myself at this stage.

it is really tempting to buy a goody or two and chance my luck on whether it gets here or not.

yes......stuff like marmite is heavy and may make it cost prohibitive.
the chocolate may melt on the way.
the vermin may get at the cakes.

thought i'd ask just to see if anyone has tried it first.

well, with xmas pudding you would never be able to tell so go for it. it cannot arrive any worse than it already is :)

try mudanceros, they may be more open to the larger variety of foods. EPS has restrictions, i think, but you may call them and ask. santiago office: 809 581 1912 (ask for raquel peguero).
