The first Tropical Storm of 2001 has cropped up this afternoon in the northern part of the Gulf of Mexico and is now dousing Texas and Louisiana.

You can check it out and get your 2001 Hurricane List at this site.. Might be fun this year...

We clicked on your link, too. We were told "cannot find website." Any ideas how we can find info on that storm? (I - Mame - am a weather buff!) besides living in the Florida panhandle!!

These happen to Texas every year or so, one day (Mon) its not there, the next day (Tue) its a tropical storm.

We live 120 miles south of Houston and never got a drop of rain, while Houston got 10 to 12 inches.

Looking at the history of the DR there storms historically hit late in the season usually Sept.
