Can anyone give me the Cliff Notes version of if/how a US Corporation can own shares in a Dominican SRL?

TIA

Well, the US corporation would be a member and yes it can, but you will have to supply corporate documents, most likely which will have to be legalized and translated. Be prepared that it will be more complicated than physical personal ownership. Most likely the US corporation will have to designate a representative with power of attorney, translated and superlegalized. (His is the rough info I got from local Registro Mercantil about two years ago. I decided to not go that route.

You know some things change slowly in the DR. It took them what like 60 years to update Companys law and like 40 years to update checks (like bank checks) law
