minimum cost for lawyer

Last year I bought a small piece of property for my girlfriend in Andres and the lawyers fee was 10000 pesos, the land was 125000 pesos.

Most charge 1% (some as high as 1.5%) of the purchase price. On very large purchase this can usually be negotiated.

I agree with Bob but...I have learned that the most expensive attorney in this country are the low-priced ineffective ones who cut corners to give you the cheapest price. Cheap attorneys can cost you a fortune. Still, it shouldn't be more than 1% or so. Contact Guzman Ariza (countrywide) or Garcia-Blanco (Cabarete) for fair pricing and exceptional attorneys.

Well said Castellamonte! Use a reputable lawyer who will charge 1%, probably with a minimum fee of US$500 Well worth it in the long run!
