Local Cigar Legend Passes on

Lucas DeMeister of Don Lucas cigars fame, passed away the other day. Lucas lived his life with passion and although Lucas was always the man to share a quality rum or cognac and a good smoke, weaving stories of the past into news of the day without the feeling that the conversation was going all over the place.

For many cigar aficionados , Lucas was a wealth of information and a source of small batch, quality cigars.

Lucas....long ashes to you. You will be missed, but not forgotten.

I'm SO sorry to hear this. I'm not a smoker, but had just put onto my D.R. bucket list to step into the "Cigar Home and Lounge", one day to meet him. The CHandL is literally around the corner from my condo, and I pass by there a couple of times a day when I'm in P.C., In fact just left there on Saturday. I had heard what a gentleman he was, and I thought I might learn a thing or two about cigars.
