So, somebody i knew died in the DR and i would like to express my condolences. Can somebody fill me in on how the protocoll for these kinds of things is in the DR. Last time somebody i knew in the Dominican Republic died was over ten years ago and it was somebody from my school. I remember we all went to church the same day, and i think he was even buried that day. Afterwards, there were regular misas for him and we recieved a picture with a few words printed on them.
Other than that, i don't know how such matters are handled. I'd also like to know what would be the best way to send a letter of condolences. I guess sending it by mail from Europe will take for ever and an email doesn't seem right.
