Here's the answer...
Well, here in Luperon, province of Puerto Plata, you have many guest-houses or little hotels for about 25.00US$ a night, and plenty of restaurants, bars, snacks, cafes... You have the beach, the nice countryside, good catamaran sailing and horseback-riding, away from the tourist-crowd, mainly our foreigners are boaters and yachties from all over the world, since there's a huge natural harbour (don't miss the happy hour at the bar from the marina...).
