To dog owners on the east coast, please be aware that over 20 dogs have had to be euthanized to date in the Bayahibe area and today 3 puppies found in Cortecito, Bavaro, were also euthanized after having been found in the street (this reported by Collares Rojos). Please make sure your dogs' vaccinations are up to date and I would personally recommend (without becoming paranoid) to avoid allowing your dogs to come in contact with other dogs (especially street dogs) for a while.
