Dozens of residents of the sector El Millon, protested today that a construction permit is suspended for a five-story building on the street Presa Taveras.
With placards in hand and shouting the phrase "We do not want corruption," the residents were stationed in front of where the building is built, located in Presa Taveras Street, number 408, between the National Theatre and Presa Rio Bao Street .
The spokesman for the Neighborhood of El Million, Andrea Valdez, reported to have gone to the National District City Council, the ministries of Public Works and Environment, where they have taken their complaint, since according to the rules in the zone they can't build buildings that exceed two levels.
Valdez reported that building owners have acted defiantly and what they answer is that the building will get built "against wind and tide."
