Buying a house in Santo Domingo

I haven't been in the 'market' for 2 years, and now that I'm starting to look around again, it strikes me as though inflation or appreciation have snuck their ugly little heads up on me very quickly.

Is it just me, or is it virtually impossible to find a reasonable house to buy in Santo Domingo DN for under
$USD 200K?!?

Anybody else experienced this phenomena?

Thanks for the links donluis99!

I looked through, and I guess I remember things being much cheaper in the past. Specifically anything in DN and not in 'este' or 'norte'.

Thanks again

I tink your memory is a little faded.
Santo Domingo Este was always cheaper than this side of the "Ozama" river. If you can compare "Apples & Apples" we will see what you are trying to say.
Exactly what, and where and when you priced before, and how does it compare with the same/similar properties now.
I don't see much change in the last two years.
